Okay, so I thought I would try this blogging thing out. So far it seems like it may be a pretty easy process. The real challenge will not be figuring out what buttons to push to publish this, it will be whether or not Nathanael will stay out of trouble long enough to allow me to type!
So, how about I catch you all up on what is going on with the Aurora, IL Niskas! Harry and I moved out to the suburbs July of 2007. We purchased our first house (link below). On September 5, 2007, we met our son, Nathanael, for the first time! (Hospital pictures below) Since then we have been blessed each day as we watch Nathanael grow, learn, and discover the world around him. He is now 9 months old and more active than we could have prepared ourselves for. If you look closely at his pictures you can see his hair is coming in as a Mohawk , which we have been told is very fitting for his personality. We agree! The simple way to describe his personality is that he is ALL BOY! He is a curious cat looking for his next adventure every minute. He has found every square inch of our home, climbs the stairs when we aren't looking, and tries to find new ways to escape from his high chair. Most recently he used the counter to place on arm on to hoist himself up enough to get one leg out and then tried to lower himself to the floor! I caught him just in time!! Now, with all of this said, we LOVE his personality! We love seeing him discover new things, problem solve (how do I get around this barricade and get to what I want), and attempt to walk! He is getting very close!
The other side of our little man is just a fun--he is a sweet cuddly little boy. He loves to cuddle, he loves to smile, and he loves to laugh. He is very outgoing and loves to meet and smile at new people (although he must fully look them over before he does!). A typical moment in the Niska family household goes as follows, Nathanael looks at us and smiles, we then laugh, he finds this funny and laughs with us. This is usually followed with him crawling like a speed racer towards us for a hug and then he takes off again!
Harry is doing really well. His job is going great and he is really enjoying it...even after the crazy commute! I am doing well also. Spending time with Nathanael is such a blessing. I am so thankful that I get to spend so much time with him!
